Default Tiny chips around fender?

Does anyone else have these? They aren't big at all, maybe about the size of the tip of a pen. I have a few on each of my fenders. They are all towards the bottom of the fender near the wheel arch.

Does it look like you can see the metal underneath?

No, no metal just little specks of white. Like I said they are very small, but annoying nonetheless. My car is also black, which I'm sure doesn't help. Just the nature of the beast I guess?

Odd. I have some rear fender specks but it almost looks like the paint was put on too thin and I can see the metal. I will post a pic and see if it looks similar. It could probably be mistaken for white.

I have a few myself, they are very small. I'm assuming they are from debris being kicked up. A dab of touch-up should do the trick.

Mine did this too.. i took it to the stealership for them to make a note of and i attempted to get them to fix it. There is no metal showing under the little chips, but they still told me rock chips. Does it almost look like there is still some color underneath and that just a layer of paint and clearcoat is missing?

blink- this is normal. it just chips away when you drive where rocks and salt and stuff are on the road.

my FitSport (daily driver) is missing big chunks of paint on the tip of the rear quarter panel arch from tire rubbage. hahaha. yes, it will rust eventually. im going to need to touch that up again.

My stealership wanted to put touch-up paint on the tiny chips... I told them NO THANKS!

mines black as well, this could be dry wax, have you ever buffed your car with a DA buffer with a pad that has had dry wax on it? ( bad idea make sure u or ur detailer always has a clean pad) the wax will stick unless you rebuff it out. or it could just simply be rock chips from the high way

I'll have to double check, but I'm fairly certain that it's not wax.

just an update on my earlier post about my dd with a lot of paint missing from the fender arch due to tires rubbing.

the last time i washed the car was thanksgiving and it's been douced with snow and salt all this time. i took a look a few days ago and there is some surface rust but everything is in great condition considering metal showing through.

so yes, it's a good idea to keep it clean and well touched up, but not something that you would have to worry about unless you dont wash your car at all for a very long time.
