What to do with the three "non-functional" buttons in the center console
for those with a base model, i am sure you will agree with me.....
those three "unused buttons" look horrendous...... with one, i am thinking about adding in the fog light, but how about the other two? not because i like the fog light, but to make use of the buttons on the center console..... any ideas or suggestions? has anyone tried aftermarket heated seats? |

Left: Rear fog
Center: Heated side mirrors (2009 did not get them) Right: Unknown Currently none of them are wired as I am working on other things currently.

I am going to put my voice recognition switch into one of them but I haven't figured out exactly how yet. It has a smaller square base and I'm not handy with things like this.

Like with my Touring, the left and right are heated seats. Now that space in the center isn't all that noticeable but sine its there I might as well hook up the rear fog light to it. If you went with aftermarket heated seats, you could use the buttons out of a touring, for a nice OEM look.

i have a 2010 model, but it already has heated side mirror....
i searched internet for OEM heated seat buttoms, but i could not find any..... also, i do not know if it is a good idea to get heated seats.....never gone with an aftermarket heated seat product before..... also, the button for the aftermarket heated seats are horrendous................!!!!!! would it be possible to swap or replace the aftermarket knob/button with an OEM one...? it seems possible, but has anyone done it before?> |

There are a few other options for aftermarket switches, the ones in my pictures are very small and blend in with the black. Most people who have seen them think they are OEM, other people do not even notice them as if there is nothing there.

I put in a Bass Control Knob (hd-rlc) that plugs into my JL Hd 900/5 amp for full subwoofer gain control.

I originally planned to add a remote control device for my radar detector, but it ended up being more of a reach than the radar itself on my windshield!

I prefer the tire spikes (that drop to blow other car tires), ejector seat, black smoke.
