Another Trackspec Motorsports hood vent install
So I used to have a vented carbon fiber hood, then sold it to make moving to another state easier. Bought another carbon hood but didn't like the way it fit, so I decided to go the Trackspec Motorsports vent route and am totally happy.
Install took several hours working at a slow and meticulous pace ensuring the cuts were placed right. I had a friend of mine help me out (aka I drank beer and helped hold things lol). The kit came well packaged and the vents felt like quality pieces. The included hardware and cut templates worked awesome too. https://i.imgur.com/tXWYyjl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/rEDsMrp.jpg https://i.imgur.com/KmQCXGG.jpg https://i.imgur.com/FLEYUk6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/SwNLrXa.jpg |
The short rivets are aluminum. The long rivets are steel. Expect some rust on the steel rivets if you used them.

Nice job, looks really good

Which two CF hoods did you have prior to this very well-done install?

Man I love the look of these. Can they be placed lower (more to the front of the car) then where you have them?

Nice Look.
Any other CF intake mani. covers besides Seibon at $442? |
Top Secret, EVO-R, NRG, Seibon.

Hi, thinking of doing the same thing because it's impossible to get a carbon fiber hood right now (VIS and Seibon). I placed an order about two months ago for one. I just got an email saying it was back ordered and that it wouldn't be available until late March or April.
Anyways, is it still holding up well and are you still happy with it? Thank you. |
