Door panel material differences throughout the years
I have light beige seats that I hate, and suede door inserts in my 2009. I want to upgrade to black racing seats, and find some black suede door trim panels/ inserts off of e-bay, but the descriptions, and pictures on e-bay are never that great. If I can find a good driver side door panel from one year, and a passenger side from some other year, do I have to worry about the stitching in the suede insert being a different color or thickness etc. or is every door panel with black suede going to match regardless of the production year or 370z version type it came off off?

If it's the same year/model, the material should match so long as the cars were taken care of in a similar manner. However, not all Z's have black or even suede door panels, so you want to make sure you get a matching pair if you buy them from different vehicles.

We are talking about the area between the top plastic part and the arm rest right? |

Pretty sure base models with cloth seats have cloth door panel inserts. The suede door panels will only be found on touring models with leather seats.

Suede is Alacantara AFAIK and comes with light grey stitching (often called white) or red stitching for the Nismo.
I believe that Nissan only sell the door card as a complete unit, I would like to buy two Alacantara door card inserts with light grey stitching for my base model. Ebay door cards always look very "Used". |
why not just buy some alcantara material? probably much cheaper and get custom colors.
