Yesterday, I had closed my trunk only to find out it was not latching/locking in place. It was fine during the day and all of a sudden it acts up

370z trunk will not latch
Yesterday, I had closed my trunk only to find out it was not latching/locking in place. It was fine during the day and all of a sudden it acts up on me later that day. Anyone experience this issue and found a remedy for it that does not require a replacement of parts?
