Size of Front & Rear Emblems
Gang,
Does anyone know the actual size of the Front & Rear (Hood & Deck lid) Nissan Emblems on the 370? Are they the same ones used on the 350? Or are they completely new ones and a different size. If they are the same as the ones on the 350 the new car can lose the Nissan logo on both ends of the car over night. Thanks,

One other interesting thing I saw in a magazine picture was that the 'Z' in the 370Z emblem on the deck lid appears to be illuminated (similar to side Z emblem or illuminated kick plates)...can anyone confirm this as well? |

The front of the 350 was inserted also and the aftermarket created emblem fit right into it with no problem. If the 370 emblems are the same size, maybe the 350 stuff will fit with no changes.

I saw one picture in Automobile magazine Feb issue (found the magazine after I posted this). I don't think that's a Canadian mag. I haven't checked if there is a link to that already on the site but one picture (back end of a blue 370Z) looks like the Z part is illuminated...if you see the picture, you'll know what i mean. At work at moment so don't have time to search and post link or scan...maybe I can scan tonight. |

Had time at lunch and posted this link to the digital edition of the mag - see page 57, bottom of page picture. To me it didn't appear to be a picture flash either...Z part of emblem looks different to my eyes.

OK...haven't seen many pictures taken at night of the Z and that one bugged me so thought I would ask. In glossy print, the orangy color in that picture (looking coincidentally similar to side markers and kick plates) was even more extreme than it shows up online. |

maybe they know.... Also, isn't the new Z slightly different? You'd think there'd be new ones coming out soon. |

I see that Courtesy Nissan (CourtesyParts.com) is offering the aftermarket "Z" emblems now and they are showing the 350 and the 370 as being one in the same for the FRONT only (not the rear). That's great..................... and that answers my original question. Thanks to you all,

^Thanks, but that sucks about the rear.
I wouldn't want the Z up front & Nissan on the back. I guess they'll come eventually Last edited by inTgr8r; 02-27-2009 at 05:37 PM. |

...as has already been said, the Z's are different. The 350z has 3 little 'blips' in the middle, but the 370z has a spiral twist. If you buy those ones from Courtesy Parts you'll be putting a 350z (blippy Z) emblem on your 370z. This may not matter to you, but it would matter to me. Personally, I'd wait a month or two - I KNOW it's highly embarrassing to have a Nissan Burger up front, but do you really want your 370z pals to snigger behind your back because you have the 3-blip-Z? ...An alternative temporary measure would be to fit the Courtesy Parts emblem and then give it to me as soon as a proper one appears on the market. A third alternative would be to de-badge your car and leave those spaces blank until the aftermarket parts appear - they won't be long - and you won't have the embarrassing Nissan UFO sitting on your hood/trunk.
