Stock mid-pipe to muffler bolts
I was helping a buddy install some test pipes yesterday and we couldn’t get the nuts loose off the mid-pipe to stock muffler. So we cut them. Little
Did I know that those bolts don’t come out. So unless we drill them out somehow, is a new mid-pipe our other option? Thanks guys |
Those studs should come out. use a hammer and chisel and some PB blaster. Or a drill.

Air Hammer?
And you're hitting the threaded part towards the flange right? I know that sounds self explanatory but you wouldn't believe the **** I have seen over the years. |
Yeah, you messed up. Those studs are welded in. You will need a torch to cut the welds or get a used midpipe.

^^^ That. A little heat from a torch may also help.

Wrong section too. Next time, post in the Intake/Exhaust section.
