Painting parts body color as opposed to blacked out
I’ve seen how the blacked-out look has become popular, but I really want to go the other way, & have a near monochrome, solid red Z. I’d like to have all the silver trim & “Z” on the side marker light body color also, along with the door handles. First, what is the front grill between the fangs made of, & can it be painted to match the rest of the car? Would it be better to take it off the car & take it to a good paint shop? Thinking along those lines, would it be btter to take the door handles & side marker lights off at the same time?
Any thoughts, comments, pics would be appreciated. Ish, the desert dweller |
if your going to color match then yes take off the door handles and side markers...
the black plastic between the fangs is not a smooth texture like the rest of the bumper...so if your going to paint it to match then i would suggest removing the bumper so the painter will have better access for sanding and prep for painting... i have a few pics in my album listed in my sig... |
