Now theoretically, if I were to do it, I would fully cure the base coat of lava, mask the center (big PITA, its much easier to do the lips first, but for the above bleed through). Shoot the red highlights and put the wheel in the oven until just before flowout, then remove and pull the tape, then clearcoat the entire wheel and do a full cure.

On mine above, I did the orange trim first, then masked the lip and shot the black and clearcoat. The orange also bleeds, but not through black.
