Since my piece comes off easy, I’ll test it tomorrow when mine comes in and let everyone know if it makes a difference in the way it fits. Saves you from having to do it if not really needed and just ends up being a crappy mold of the product that needs some other sort of tweaking. Was really hoping for a part that fit like the pictures.

Lol!! I got anxious and installed mine. That piece needed to come off to sit flat but once again I was reminded that I need to slow the hell down. I overdid the 3m on the forward edges and they sit up. Looks good but it's up near those forward points and not flat. So I'll need to pull it and do it again. Still looks awesome just a job done by someone obviously not in the bodywork field.

Solidus, post pictures to help show and describe the edges and how it sits now.
Thanks Brian

I feel skeptical about 3m tape holding it on high speed

It has to be a combination of both 3M tape and adhesive together.

ok, I just started test fitting mine. I took off the factory wiglet, definitely sits better that way. There is roughly a 1/4 gap underneath between the new wing and the original. If you push it forward too much to close that gap, then the top corners want to pop up. May need to do some sanding on the bottom side to get it to fit tighter, but doesnt look like theres much material to sand. I'll post some pictures in a few.

This is just resting in there. Pushing forward I can close the gap more. The the small strip of tape it comes with definitely won’t be enough to hold it. You will have to use some epoxy (maybe why he suggested silicon) and maybe a bit more tape on the sides.

My edges sit up maybe 1/8th inch more than what yours shows but I'm closer in the back. I actually drove it doing some WOT logs today and there's no doubt the 3M will hold it. I pull from the back upward and it lifts the car.

Bro, I feel almost like showing up at the emergency room with dirty underwear on that idea. Lol!! I'll do it in the interest of the team. I like this wing and if I have to have it done at a bodyshop it's worth it. Of note for everyone , it does tighten up the field of view in the back. Still worth it.

Well, it’s mounted. Added a small strip of double sided tape to the edges and some 3M epoxy to the top corners. I couldn’t push it in any further without the front corners popping up. May have to do with the tape on the sides. Guess I’ll live with it for now.

I'd have jumped on this if I could've found someone wanting to swap Nismo hatches. Maybe I'll just buy one from a wrecker methinks...
