Hood and Fenders
I was wondering how RS-1 Carbon Fiber fenders are? I've been looking into a few, not sure what's out there. Definitely not trying to spend thousands on Varis Fenders. I was also looking into a Seibon carbon hood but not quite sure. I don't want to run into fitment issues.

Nah VARIS Z34 FAIRLADY Z ARISING - II Not even half that Also . . . Seibon or Fly1 fenders don't add much room at all A fender pull gets you about the same room and if you have SPL FUCA you can already get amazing fitment so fenders are a waste of money imo |

Seibon and varis are +10mm wider
fly1 is same width as stock |

Fly1 makes replica's of these fenders. I've heard many people having fitment issues, while others have said they fit perfectly. It's really a coin toss with any replica parts
|
fly1 is really really hit or miss, i trust most of their small stuff like side skirts etc, but I've seen/heard some horror stories with fenders and bumpers

My body shop (does high volume) said they've never had Fly1 that didn't need modifying. Fitment is inconsistent at best
Same for my personal experience with Seibon. Very hit or miss. Varis? I just paid almost $2k for a hood, but it fits perfect. Better than stock, even. Another guy i know got the full Varis kit - the fitment is TIGHTER than stock, to the point where even wrapping the panels caused fitment issues in some spots because it was such precise fitment. If you wanna be cheap and just get the look, whatever. it's your money, it's your car. Throw money at Fly 1's way, and live with the results. If you absolutely have to have the look, pay your shop to custom cut your fenders to form those vents, then it'll be the look you want For WHEEL FITMENT purposes, fly 1 and seibon are a waste of money. Hell, even Varis might be a waste. Stock metal fenders, rolled and pulled, fits a ton of wheel/tire when aligned properly |
If you want the best fitment it is JDM or go home. Not cheap but for looks and function none better. The hard part is figuring out which one you like better. I rock a Fugimura hood and the fitment and function were spot on!
