A simple search of this forum shows that if anyone has done it, they haven't posted about it on here. With that being said, I'm sure some of the Z race car guys have done this in some form or fashion as part of their strip down of the interior, but I doubt that is the kind of interior modification you're looking for.

I'm curious to know why you and the OP have a desire to do this? The weight savings will be minimal at best, and the amount of work and money needed to make it look nice will be pretty high.

nothing to do with weight savings, if I was worried about that I would go on a diet and shave off another 30 lbs

honestly just the look is appealing to me, I know they make the replacement kits for f80 m3's and 911's so i was just curious
