2018 door handles?
 

Hey everyone,

Someone told me the door handles on the 2018 models have a black finish at stock now. Is this correct? If so, can anyone post any photos?

If this is the case, I may just buy those instead of trying to find replacement stock silver ones and then getting them painted.

They're smoked, not totally black. In person in the sun they have more of a gunmetal look.

Getting them painted will look better imo esp color matched on a black Z.. as CRiZO said the 2018 stock ones are more smoked look.

I have a 2019 and my handles are not black.

They are like CRiZO described and linked. Never noticed that previous year models' handles were a much shinier silver until now haha.

And now you will never be the same.

On Z1Motorsports site it states there are 3 different finishes for usdm does anyone have in person pics of the 2018 door handles compared to either the common silver 09-16 ones or whatever the 2017 ones

Wow thanks you guys really came through! what sparked my curiosity was seeing a nismo Saturday morning at my local cars and coffee with almost chrome looking door handles. I’m guessing the ones Coltronz sent the pic of is the 2017 option the darker 2018 heritage one is nice but just not for my brilliant silver imo

I ended up sanding and spraying my silver handles a dark gunmental grey. Its looks much better in my opinion, especially with dark grey or black wheels.

I sanded and sprayed my silver handles gunmetal grey to go with my wheels. In my opinion its a must do for anyone with dark grey or black wheels.

Will the new “gunmetal” handles fit on older models?

Yes. The door handle fit is identical. Only the finish is different.
