AnotherFront Plate Alternative
As I begin to look at upgrading to a 370z, I've been looking for an alternative to drilling into the front bumper. Especially if you have the Nismo, you don't have that black piece of plastic to drill into. I know that Stillen makes one that screws into the tow hook, but the tow hook is off centered and having the plate to one side looks awkward to me.
After much digging around on the net I found this bracket. Looks like it doesn't drill into the front of the bumper but instead underneath the bumper. Also you can change the positioning to have positioned lower. Skene Design License Plate Mount Thought I'd post it up for anyone else looking for an alternative. |

Good find! I'ii have to look and see if it can be mounted below the lower lip so that it sticks up vs hanging down. That way I could adjust it to be a little lower than the lip and be my "scrap" warning.

IMHO, front license plates look like absolute crap on our cars, i dont care if no drilling is required or not, I just put mine in the window when a cop is around, no tickets in 8 years in this state. That is a good concept though.

Still requires drilling into the bumper cover. Gominigo makes an offset mounted plate holder for those who are interested in retaining a design that incorporates the front tow hook.
