Has anyone else noticed the last few years the nismo Z has incrementally got heavier? According to google, a 2018 Nissan 370Z NISMO Tech Manual Coupe now weights in at

370z newer nismo model weight
Has anyone else noticed the last few years the nismo Z has incrementally got heavier? According to google, a 2018 Nissan 370Z NISMO Tech Manual Coupe now weights in at just about 3,500lbs. How has nissan taken an already very heavy for what it is car, and made it some how heavier? 3,500lbs is the same weight of a eco boost mustang, and just a couple hundred pounds shy of the GT model.
For reference, here are the weights for the last 4 years of the nismo models with the same configuration for each year: 2015: Curb weight: 3,346 lbs 2016: Curb weight: 3,394 lbs 2017: Curb weight: 3,398 lbs 2018: Curb weight: 3,493 lbs |
