Fuji Bumper Fitting Help
Hi Everyone, I picked up my new Fuji bumper from Fly1 yesterday and am trying to get it fitted before heading to paint. It seems that the white plastic pieces shown in the pictures are preventing it from sliding into place. If you have this bumper, have the white pieces been removed or do you have to surgically cut out each notch on the bumper. Any input is appreciated!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...43fa9a7321.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...02a8b11c6e.jpg

there should be slots on the top of the bumper. Not sure if I have a pic but I'll look.
|
I circled the slots as they are almost hidden. the holes fit over those tabs on the white pieces in your pic. I will try to get a better picture for you tomorrow, if you want. This is a Fuji bumper and not a fly1 so I am not sure how much they differ.

Thank you! I really appreciate your reply. For clarification, are the markings you made holes to fit the tabs in my red circles or notches to fit around the piece in my green circle?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...80119b8054.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Yes, I believe so. I will be pulling the bumper off tomorrow afternoon and can get you detailed pics.

That would be extremely appreciated. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
When are we going to have an intervention about those CF vinyl eye lid things?

LOL! I saw a post on FB for a company that manufactures the eyelid covers, but it was like $150 for Black and $450 for CF. At that price, vinyl works just fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got the bumper on! Looks great. Thanks for your help (and sass) everyone! The next question is...How the heck does anyone drive with this thing on?! It’s so low I couldn’t get out of my driveway without scraping. Had to take the bumper off and put it on in the street We’ll see how long it lasts

LOL. Fuji' s aren't as low as others. You need skid plates to protect your FRP or will be shredded if you keep scraping it after a while. Those tabs break off too of you're not careful. |

The car is at paint right now. I’ve been told I should have it back this week. I’ll definitely be posting some pictures before it gets beat to death lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The long awaited pictures! The partial carbon fiber on the black is the perfect amount of subtle in my opinion. Thanks again for the help, everyone https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3fa7ed031e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8fa969e8e2.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Awesome! Turned out good. What mesh are you going to use?

Bumper came out awesome. Who do I have to blow to get you to remove those vinyl lids? :tiphat:

For those running the Fly1 fuji bumper, can you tell me if the factory undertray (or a z speed which uses factory holes) fits to it without extra fabricated material?
I have a 2016 non nismo and looking to get a Fly1 Fuji bumper, but dont want to loose the z speed undertray I already have. Thanks in advance. |
