Buddy Club Super Low Down Rail
Hey guys. Couldn't find much info on these rails for aftermarket seats. I recently purchased these with my Sparco EVO II US seat for my Z. I originally installed them in August 2017. I was bored this past sunday before the superbowl and decided to make the angle more 90 degrees. Turns out with this setup it was harder than I expected. My best guess as to why, is the inherent design of the rails themselves. They are not at a set distance from left to right which makes you do more adjusting on the position of the brackets that they supply. I've seen Bride type FO rails fit perfectly in the Z but I'm not sure if they would work with the Sparco Evo seat. I'm 80% sure i'm going to order the Bride rails once it gets warmer outside and I can drive the Z more.
At the end of this video I explain how the brackets can be set up so the seat fits at a good and safe angle. So far there are only two setups that the seat will work with these rails. In this close to 90 Degree seat position the rails have a decent amount of resistance sliding forward and back. When the seat is in a more daily driver angle the seat rails move forward and back effortlessly but once again the bucket is in a terrible position for the track. I recommend the second position if you have an adjustable seat back for sure. https://youtu.be/-yDt_AlbCjM Overall I love the seat (even though I marred them up) and not too happy with the rails. If you guys have any tips on what hobby paint or any paint that is conspicuous, please let me know. Also subscribe real quick to my channel because I'll be uninstalling and reinstalling some of my mods soon just for content and review. Production quality will go up once I get used to filming myself. 20170727_175510 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/gear_flip/] 20170727_175228 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/gear_flip/] Last edited by TechnicZ; 02-06-2018 at 09:21 PM. |

I have Buddy Club Seats w/ Buddy Club Rails, didn't have any issues. I can only speculate that the issues you ran into were from mix and matching manufacturer's components. Also, any rails will scratch the fiberglass seat if they're not installed carefully. I had Bride seats w/ Bride rails and the seat still got scratched.

I ran buddy club rails w/ Status GTX seats, fitment was horrible. My seats would bind sliding forward or back. The fitment was so off and it took a lot of adjustment to get it to fit.
