For the record, I would consider a jack a tool ... if you have tools, then you just need to borrow a jack (and maybe jack stands?).

I don't get why anyone cares what others think anyway. If the hassle of taking your wheels off is more than the caliper covers bother you, then don't bother. It's your car and your time
