Caliper Cover debacle - any ideas?

Yikes! I did not know that they made those for Z-cars. I thought when I left the Corvette forum, I would not see those things again. Yeah, you need to

I don't see why you don't want to remove the wheels. You'll be absolutely fine using the car jack. Works OK, just takes a little more time. But in the end, it will be worth it. It would've been the first thing I did as soon as I got her home.

Find a local forum member that has a garage and tools you can use. I'm always happy to let a fellow Z owner wrench on their car at my place. I usually charge a 6-pack of some hoppy IPA if they need my help.

You've got good taste in beer. I'll be good for a couple of weeks until I get tires. Nobody at my work knows about cars, so they have no idea. That's the only place my car is really seen. You would think they could make a better fake than that though. I'm the only one that knows I'm living a lie, hahahaha.

How much would you charge to ship those sweet covers to 33764?

If you enjoy working on your car yourself, then it might be worth it to find someone local that will let you use their tools. Especially if you aren't planning to buy tools for yourself.

Ha, I'll pay someone to take them off my hands. I looked them up, someone paid $200 for those bad boys.

Guys, I have tools, I do work on my own cars, I just didn't feel like going through the hassle.

I get it, the overwhelming response, suck it up and do it anyway.

For the record, I would consider a jack a tool ... if you have tools, then you just need to borrow a jack (and maybe jack stands?).

I don't get why anyone cares what others think anyway. If the hassle of taking your wheels off is more than the caliper covers bother you, then don't bother. It's your car and your time

Why continue to chime in after I admitted defeat? All I asked for was a quick fix without taking the wheels off. I get it, there is none, I'm over it. Just because I don't own a jack, doesn't mean I don't have tools. I live in an apt complex and I use ramps whenever I need to get under the car. I've owned jacks before, I just don't have one now.

I definitely will pick and choose what questions I ask on here.

No worries, I'm pretty sure the overwhelming response has solidified the course of action to take.

It's been an entertaining thread for sure.
