Default Can I trust a Nissan dealership to install spoiler?

I have a 2017 sport and ordered the older style nismo spoiler. From what I’ve been told it will use pre-existing holes so no drilling. I’ve seen pics of the removal process and appears that if not done properly, could damage the paint. (Specifically using fishing line to remove double-sided tape). So back to my question, I don’t trust myself to do it. Should I take it to Nissan or try to find another shop? Thanks for any replies

I wouldnt...most of the time they will take it to the body shop they work with on body repairs and repaint. So its not directly the dealership that does it.

I still say no though. I like knowing the guys that will be working on my car.

Personally, I don't think I'd have the dealership do this kind of work. Find a reputable shop near you.

In general, avoid dealerships as often as you can. Never trust them.

depends on whether you have worked with the dealership before. I have taken my z twice to the dealership body shop for repaints and work was exceptional. Thou you do have to be careful, I had the dealership put on the after market spoiler and it took some time, work was good.

Best to know who is doing the work

Service at Dealers are only good in oil changes and even that they messed up lot of times too. So be warned.

Do it yourself. I did. Plenty of right ups in the DIY section on removing the trunk plastics and the sport spoiler.

PS. I wouldn't take a Camaro to a Nissan dealership.

I haven’t updated my car on my profile. But maybe I’ll go up to the dealership and try to get a feel if they know what they are doing or if they are kinda sketchy about the process

If you know a reputable body shop, you can get them to do it. Avoid the stealership.

Thanks! Just talked to them on the phone. I’ll have to bring it in for an estimate next week but they seem nice and looks like they have done a lot of great work. I’m sure I’ll end up using them. Thanks for the recommendation
