Because you have a long user name. So I figured you had to be short.

That’s actually why I haven’t done the poison spider hood vent mod yet, I could get better resale on a stock oem painted hood. The aev is over $800 but it’s a quality piece, probably the most well thought out functional vented jk hood out there.
Sh1t, now you’ve got me thinking about getting that aev hood again. I guess I know which way I’m gonna go… |

Jeep XK 4x4... bought it new years ago... it just keeps going and going and still looks like new. But the bay gets extremely hot. I already have a 180* thermostat (stock is 203) and installed a transmission cooler. They really help keep the temps in control (or at least what I feel is in control). But in stop n "stall" traffic, I really could use those vents. Oh, and my heated seats are for sale... any takers for those useless POSs here in FL? Honestly, I should have gotten a huge discount agreeing to buy a car in FL with heated seats. |

Someone got money to burn. Better yet. Use that OSB for target practice.

Happy to report my temps have dropped about 20*.
Took a drive in stop and go traffic it was about 100* out with about +65% humidity absolutely miserable and my water temps never went past 205*. Normally i'd be around 220-225 sitting in traffic even on a cool night. Curious how much you cut the inner skin? I can see it at some angles and it kind of looks like sh!t, but i'm afraid to weaken the hood if i cut it more. Also the rivets suck a$$. they kept breaking on me did you guys have that problem? Did you use any kind of sealant or double side stick tape? I thought about it after the fact when i washed it saw how much water collected between the frame of the vents. Thanks again TW
