I read easy off oven cleaner will work (just don't get any on paint) or heat it up again and carefully scrape it off. Some say you can heat it up again and use wd40 to wipe it off. I haven't tried these, I just googled it.

Still hard to believe a plastic bag created all that pipe suckage... did the wd40 / heat combo application work? Oven cleaner?

First, you need to heat up the residue.
Can use a heat gun or hair dryer.
May be a slow process to get the major gunk then the small pieces.

After cooling,I'd use a solvent like lacquer thinner.
It may be a slow process to get all the small stuff off.
Finish off with a good chrome/metal polish.

Good luck

That tip is toasted, This has happen on other cars I have owned but in the mid pip area. I have searched youtube vids that use a dermal to get it off and polish but your better off just getting new tips.

A soak in pure acetone should get that off. Just make sure you use it carefully. Do not get any of it on paint or plastic/ rubber parts. Hope this helps.

steel wool?

I haven't had experience with this problem on my Z, but I did have a similar incident with hot exhaust pipe on my motorcycle. It cleaned off perfectly with 00 steel wool. Again, I can't vouch for how it would work on Z exhaust, but it's worth a try.

I believe MEK will do the trick. Methyl Ethyl Ketone. It melts plastic.

It eventually just burned off naturally lol, I heated it up and got a microfiber and most of it came off. The rest burned itself off and the tip looks the same as it did, the plastic was on top never seeped into the titanium. Thank you all for the suggestions!
