No new Z anytime soon
Just noted in today's Boldride.com piece,no replacement for the 370Z coming
anytime soon. 2 years etc.? The 2018 offers basically some cosmetic ads--New red color etc. Tech-offer of a Exedy clutch. The category has gotten a bit crowded. Many offering more for the same price. Looks like we will have to wait for Nissan to offer a real game changer. For now,you have the engine mods that have been widely noted. Looks wise,I for one have gone the carbon fiber route. Done correctly,CF accents do wonders in updating the looks of our car. |

carbon fiber which is usually used to lighten cars for racing but instead used just for show = good
Hood vents that will offer function as well as form = bad

Pretty cool to polish up your 09,10,11,etc... & look as good or better than a brand new one.10yrs. running & the mod's are ready available.....I plan to keep mine & go TT when the time comes & build my own powerhouse "Super-Car".
With taxes/insurance the way it is,,,it's about the best route for me to take..Unless you have endlessly deep pockets.

inb4 the move
but one thing I'll say: Look at modern economy cars now and everything they come with, and how fast they evolve and how disposable they've kinda become. Something as "standard issue" as the Camry has taken strides in detail. If Nissan's actually working on a new Z, it's a lot to think about a car that will properly fit with time. Takes on newer sports cars is still all over the place. It's easy to cater to the consensus desires from a forum, but globally is a bigger problem. |

Nissan.Regardless of the size of the business, most have to look at the overall big picture. Or,in Nissan's case, just how big is the category that the Z is in now &in the future? Is it wise to use funds on this category vs say,SUV or pickups etc? Add to the fact that car sales to the age group that used to breed "car guys"(millenials)are dropping. Think about when the Z33 came out in 2003. It was pretty much the only game in town. Yep,a game changer. Soon many followed the leader and the market has gotten very crowded. I myself am very happy owning my present Z34 and my Z33. |

business can have any understanding of economics whether macro or micro. As a business owner, you have total understanding of all relevant concepts, even though statistically most small business owners fail. And the issues this guy has faced running his own independently operated gloryhole are the same as those faced by major multinational corporations, including knee calluses and jaw cramps. As long as the small business can pay for carbon fiber stickers all is well.
