New steering wheel

I just received and installed my new wheel from Carbon Fiber Element. Fit and finish on this wheel is perfect. It's super comfortable and ergonomically puts my hands in the ideal position. Couldn't be happier! :happydance:

Looks good and beefy. How does it feel? I'm sure it depends since someone with smaller hands may struggle with it.

My first reaction was wow, I can achieve this by injecting my OEM steering wheel with something.

Nice! How hard was it to remove the OEM steering wheel? I know that in my previous C5 corvette it took an army to get the wheel off. Just curious.

Removing the OEM steering wheel is pretty simple.

It feels good. I've got small hands and it fits good. The contours are all in the right spots.

Simple. 2 torks bolts on side of column holding the air bag. Pull air bag/steering wheel controls out and unplug. Remove 19mm nut from steering column (it's on tight with a bunch of loctite, just like the shift knob). Wheel pulls right off. Transfer a couple parts over to new wheel and re-install. There are alignment marks on wheel and steering column shaft so you can't misalign wheel. Takes a half hour max. There's a youtube video that shows the process.

OP, how did you go about deciding what you wanted and ordering? I've seen lots of good reviews on the work they do, but the only online presence they seem to have is Facebook(which I don't have) that seems to be as much for personal use as business.

With that wheel you will be able to pilot your Z to the mothership so you can upload a virus and save the human race.

I checked out their Instagram page and found an example of one I liked. I'm sure you could email them and they would probably send you some sample pics.

Well, I just ordered a Stillen sc tuner kit and Topgunz's intercooler, that should help me get to the mother ship quicker, just not quite as quick as you though. :driving:

Upgraded impeller, 9# pulley and e85 won't hurt.

And don't forget to disconnect your battery first.

We have facebook as well as IG. No website at the moment. But honestly facebook and ig keep us more than busy all the time. Check my page. @carbonfiberelement

OH MY GAWD!! I hate You!!

I wish I hadn't seen this. I just bought (well, last winter) a new steering wheel and opted out of the carbon fiber (too many $'s). Now my engines have been revved up again...for more carbon fiber (me and EVO-R are on very intimate terms). The "swoopiness" of the wheel drew me in and the carbon finished me off...I hate you!!
