Can you fit the nismo inside of the car?

I just placed an order for the nismo bumper that i ordered from z1motorsports and I was to wondering if I will be able to fit it inside the car?

Only one way to find out for sure.... If you can fit your entire hand over your face you definitely will be able to. :).

Just kidding. Doubtful. Will cause some scratches all over the place. Unless you have a vert maybe.

The bumper is a lot bigger than you think it is. Borrow a pickup.

Lvcky69 08-21-2017 04:33 PM

I went through the 350z forums and a guy was able to fit his bumper inside so I was just wondering if someone from here has managed to fit it. One last question, will the drl lights fi on the nismo bumper? I think the only difference is that ours is vertical and the nismos are horizontal

No.

I just did this conversion. No the bumper will definitely NOT fit inside the car. And, the DRLs are NOT the same and suggested retail on them are around $895 EACH. I found them for around $540 each at a nice discount after already purchasing the Evo-Rs. Evo-Rs are ok but you you can't beat the look of OEMs. FYI

A truck is required as I picked mine up from Nissan Race Shop in Fontana and it definitely requires a truck

This, just had my bumper off for a CAI install and was quite surprised how big it was sitting by itself.

That depends on what type of car. Truck and SUVs are no problems with the rear bench folded down. Was able to fit a rear bumper and two side skirts in my juke.

Lvcky69 08-21-2017 09:23 PM

Thanks for the responses. I will rent a pickup truck from uhaul

Good choice. That bumper had no chance in hell inside the Z.

As for the DRL, no. The standard (vertical) DRL will not fit the Nismo. They are completely different.

My amuse rear bumper couldn't fit in my car. Thought I might've had a chance without the box lol, was so wrong.

Took about an hour to barely fit it inside dads ML350, had to take seats out and move ours all the way up lol, my dad was literally driving with the wheel on his chest and still almost couldn't close the trunk.

I struggled so much just trying to get the amuse wing to fit in my car too lol. But can fit a lot of groceries np ;)

Jayhovah 08-24-2017 05:29 PM

The best money I've ever spent related to modding my Z was the $3k I spent on a beater Ford Ranger pickup.

Lvcky69 08-24-2017 07:21 PM

I just rented a uhaul van for $34 buncks

The installation is a breeze. Nothing special or complicated.

Looks good, going to have to get the Nismo headlights next, or modify the ones you got. I'll be doing that next.

Make sure u heat it up real good and be very patient...the glass housings are delicate and can crack if rushed or tugged on too hard....OEM lights are nkt cheap...good luck man....cant wait to see when shes all done.

NISMO IX 08-31-2017 10:02 AM

It is possible to buy individual pieces of the headlight assembly from Nissan if need be.
