I tucked everything behind the plastic panels. Not sure what lights are on yet but Ill focus on that later.

Are you completely confident that mounting to the stock hollow cross brace is going to hold you in your seat safely? The seat belt mounting holes are meant to restrain you but that rear cross brace was engineered to match its name.

At most I trust the MA Motorsports harness bar for a street application since they actually mount frame/body bolt. I don't like to risk safety.

Good luck!

That stock cross bar WILL NOT hold you! :icon14: It's just thin sheet aluminum tube that will crumple with about 15 lbs of force. I have one sitting in my attic. I replaced with with a Robbyspec bar.

Who are you referring to? There is no mention of anyone mounting anything to the stock cross brace in this thread..

Rusty, he's just hooking a harness bar the the points where the upper seatbelt mounts are. It's a pretty reasonable setup in that respect, the bar is pretty sturdy looking. For me I wouldn't use any harness with out a helmet and hans, to high of a risk of you snapping your spine and becoming paralyzed or dead since there is no give with a harness like there is with a OEM seat belt. But each to his own.

Guys this Harness bar does attach to the stock cross bar. It uses a L bracket. This thing is seriously connected and firm! I will be using Braum Harness Straps. Ill post more pics when the seats are in.

I just put a warning out. ;) Having replaced that aluminum piece of bling with a different bar. I know how it's made, and how it's mounted. I just don't want anyone to trust their life with it.

I don't think you understand how the L bracket connects to the stock harness bar.

I totally understand, most people don't grasp that even in a 30mph accident with a stationary object your body experiences tons of force even with all the modern enhancements. The sheet metal in non structural elements will bend and tear like paper when subjected to hundreds of pounds of force.

You have pictures on how it's mounted. ;)

You do realize there is a long drop screw. It does not bolt to the top of the metal I think you are referring to.

Also the top metal piece is not thin IMO.

Trying to attach pictures but wont allow me. :(

There are 4 points that secure the harness bar into place.
