Hi, do these covers still have fitment issue like in the past? Also on their site, they have type I and type II. What is the difference?

I have the type II which have a shape to the top instead of just flat. I had to trim the driver side cover to make it fit my Nismo (not sure about other models). The dry carbon has little scratches all over it, different form all other CF pieces I have from Nismo and Zele. Not sure if it was defect but both covers have them. I'm OCD so that bothered me
