How Soon For Wax?

paint is baked from the factory these days... unless you got it repaired and wasn't baked at the bodyshop you can wax right away. swirls will need to be polished

I spend forever applying wax to mine so no streaks are visible, and it still doesnt look as good as i want it lol.

I've used Meguiars religiously, and i started using their spray wax...i dont feel like it works as well as regular wax, but i spend about 30 minutes longer using traditional wax opposed to spray wax.

Yah, but the satisfaction you get after detailing a dark colored car is so much more.

I use to own red, dark blue, black cars so I know the feeling.

Been there and won't do that again, but I agree that detailing a dark car does make you feel pretty good when your done. Black is a pretty hot cool though, just a pain in the *** to keep looking nice.

Are they normally "waxed" at time of delivery then by the dealership?
