Default Roof vinyl questions

I've seen this as an off and on topic of discussion, but no one has addressed removing the antenna and applying vinyl over the hole the antenna was once in and whether there is a visible outline. I've checked the DIY section and looked at different related threads, but there is no exact answer.

Does anything need to by put under the hole just in case? Does the vinyl have an indent where the hole is for the antenna? Most pictures I see are too far off to be able to tell so from the guys that have done this, please provide any information you can. I am about to have my roof done, but they require me to take my antenna off before hand.

Thanks everyone.

I did mine myself. Removing the antenna was the hardest part. I didn't leave the antenna off, I wrapped it and put it back on. If you want to leave it off you're going to need to do some body work to remove the hole.

I managed to very carefully remove it from the hear hatch by removing the weather stripping and reaching in. I removed it, wrapped the antenna and roof then reinstalled the antenna.

Thanks for the info! I figured something would have to be done about the existing hole. Most places I've talked to refuse to wrap the antenna so I might end up having to do that myself either using vinyl or plastidip.
