I'm willing to take the bulk shipment here in the US. I run a small eBay side hustle, so I'm shipping items out on a daily basis. Although I have never dealt with liquids, I'm sure I can figure it out.

No special handling, but I'll need to get smaller bottles and package them properly to ensure they don't break or leak while in transit.

Shout out to Spartan 1771 for volunteering to take delivery of the bulk shipment . No word yet from Filip00 regarding how he would prefer to be paid. Stay tuned.

Why buy 1L bottles versus the 500ml? Their site and most of the EU distributors all sell 3 sizes of this. 500ml 1L and 5L. Regardless there likely isn’t an easy “legal” way to import it. It’s a chemical so if you are importer number 1 you get to handle the TSCA profile/testing etc. or perhaps a distribution agreement exists between Shiny Garage and Manufacturer that they can only sell in EU countries. If that is the case it’s likely the products exists here already under a different brand name.

I think it may be different between importing large amount for resale and for personal use. And it is for vinyl/plastic and not human consumption.
We'll probably just need a couple of bottles and divide them up for a handful of members. It is $20/bottle plus shipping cost. If they get seized, oh well... Again I have no knowledge about international shipping policy. :-( Quote:

The group buy closed on Friday, with 5 members signing up:
40 to 332 Spartan 1771 cv129 SG4247 nis350 Spartan has kindly agreed to take the bulk shipment from Filip00 and then distribute the individual containers to the other members. A few things to note: 1. Each member will need to send a PM to Spartan listing their full shipping address, including name, street address, city, state and zip code. I'd also include a telephone number where you can be reached if the shipper needs to contact you. 2. If Spartan is willing to re-package the product into smaller containers, we probably need to order only 2-3 of the 1 liter containers from Filip00, and each member will then end up with 400 - 600 mL of the product ... which should be plenty according to Filip00. 3.We will need to discuss payment options. The cost will be $20 for each container, plus the shipping cost from Filip00 to Spartan, plus the shipping cost from Spartan to each member. All costs in U.S. dollars. I'm still waiting to hear back from Filip00 concerning his preferred method of payment. 4. If we don't hear back from Filip00, there is another option. I've identified a retailer in the Netherlands who would be willing to ship a couple of bottles overseas. I'd be willing to work with the retailer and front the cost of the product and shipping from Europe if needed and then simply be reimbursed by the rest of the members using PayPal. The retailer may have some ideas on how best to ship the product to avoid any TSCA "obstacles". Be advised that the retailer offered that the shipping cost could exceed the cost of the product itself ... but the same will apply if Filip00 ships it. 5. Post your questions/comments/suggestions and we can collectively figure out how best to proceed now that the group buy has closed. |

First of all.... Thank you BOTH for organizing this.
In regard to the quantity. I checked the 303 I've been using for over 5 years for multiple cars. It is 473ml and it is still 60% full. With the unknown high international shipping cost, perhaps 2 bottles would be enough (~400ml for each member)? However, I am totally fine with 3 if you guys want. It'd worth every single penny IF it worked. ;-) Paypal would work. Just let me know whom/how much once you guys get some estimates. Thanks again. Quote:

I may be interested in a 3rd, but price will definitely be a factor.

The days and nights I've spent thinking, hoping, dreaming about the stupid dash and all the alternatives, cost of this is easily worth a try. Can't wait to try this on the spare dash then just throw it outside to see how it reacts to the Texas sun.

We need to decide how many bottles we want to order ... 2 or 3? I will then send a PM to filip00 telling him the number and asking him to provide an estimate of the total cost (including shipping). In terms of the number of bottles, there's been some interest in ordering 3, while others are leaning towards 2. It's $20 USD per bottle. Obviously, the shipping cost will vary by weight. The total cost will be divided by 5. So-o-o, we need to decide. Will it be 2 bottles ... or 3 bottles?
