Tachs with REV on them?

I noticed on some 370Zs the tach has REV written on the upper portion of the tach face. I've seen it on auto's and manual's. I have an 09 auto and it doesn't have REV on it but I've seen other 09's that due. Any ideas why? Just curious:confused:

Label for the rev limit light.

Floor it without shifting and the engine will cut off, if you miss the clue of the engine bopping off against the limiter the little flashy light will remind you to shift.

my car is 2013 and it only has a flashing light, no "REV"

PSA: you can set when u want the lights to flash

Thanks for the reply's. Mine doesn't have a light that flashes or anything when you hit the limiter. I wonder if a newer gauge cluster would work in my 09? I wouldn't change it only for this reason but I do have a LED light in my tach burned out. I know it would have to be an auto the cluster came out of:confused:
