F.U. OEM knob. - removal

Get a very large pair of plyers to hold the shifter below. Then use a oil filter strap wrench with a breaker bar. The breaker bar fits into the square metal end. Worked for me perfectly.

is it righty tighty and CCW to remove? or maybe vice versa?

id try one of those chain wrenches, looks like bicycle chain with a handle on it, piece of pipe for a cheater bar. i think they make one for oil filters that would be the right size.

The chain wrench is about the only tool I haven't tried yet. Will try this as well. Somethings gotta budge this SOB.
