EVO-R F1 Mirrors leave a gap for water to get in?

No don't cut the plastic triangle. I cut the mental window seal. I haven't had any issues with water getting in. I would send you a picture but my car is at the shop.

The uncut metal window seal ends way before this gap I'm referring to. Thanks tho.
