For what its worth, from my experience, this is the deal on Jay and the traditional
poor EVO-R service.
All the stuff is made in Taiwan. The plant that makes the parts is a large operation.
Makes carbon fiber pieces for all types of cars. Time has to be booked on their
production line to do rather small runs of Evo-R parts. I believe the amount of parts
is say around 20 units or less depending on the part.
EVO-R oversells, there is out of stock problems for quite some time.
Jay did live in NY and spends time in Taiwan.Evo-R has sold on ebay several times
under a few names.Used to be hyperrev then, west coast customs--something like that.
Don't know if these are still on ebay. Ebay is rather strict on their vendors. You get
bad reviews or poor service, you are out. Does not mean you could not come back under a different name...
Guess some people are just not organized. Or,have to do EVERYTHING their self.

I am fairly certain you are correct on the, "large operation" part, Jay pretty much told me this, plus Evo-R sells parts for a lot of cars, so so it's not like Z parts get a fast track to the front of the line for any reason. I am not sure Evo-R sells their stuff under many names , probably just clones, because Patents are pretty much nonexistent over there..... the company that makes them probably sells them to anyone who orders with worse quality control...

edit small grammar fix...

Let me sum up the problem Jay. From what I heard, people ALWAYS get their evo-r product and everyone seems to enjoy the quality and etc....

But each time someone bash about Evo-R, it is always a comminication problem. If you would put a bit more effort into communications, everyone would be happy and your internet reputation would be next to perfect.

So far Im having good experince with Jay. The guy doesnt sit to much at the forum I guess. But yes customer service is gold.

So far he has not screwed anyone for not returning refunds. It just take a long time for him to respond most of the time. Bu he does refund in full.

Guess I'm a bit anal when it comes to carbon fiber since I've done so much.
When it comes to smaller pieces,it is hard to get the grain direction to match.
If it does not go the same direction,it looks terrible IMO.
This is the case with the EVOR 370z door barrels. As noted, the front part that
covers the A/C duct, does not match. Hard to do this since the part appears to be
molded. An option would be a second part that matches the actual barrel. This would be quite costly to produce a matched set.
A option would be to use a straight 1x1 weave that would not reply on a direction.
For sure, matched weave direction does give a super custom look.
I've got carbon fiber B-pillar cover in carbon from ZCF.Both sides have the
desireable \\\\ direction.

Got to think, what does some guy working at a factory in Taiwan
really care about the quality, fast ship and customer satisfaction?
The ZCF guys are all Z owners. Ship out of Georgia(near Atlanta I think).

Care about what they do.Prices are reasonable
