2017 NISMO spoiler options

I've done some snooping around, and kind of like the duckbill style spoiler on the 2015+ body style NISMOs

Do they make any spoilers that just attach over the stock NISMO spoiler?

I like the stock one it comes with,,, but looking for possible options to make it stand out a little more.

I don't like the idea of having to remove and worry about covering holes & stuff....

just seeing what's out there!

::::::::::::
ALSO.... anyone know if the previous NISMO high spoiler will fit on a 2017 NISMO without holes showing????

HIZZY 02-07-2017 04:48 PM

on another note.... maybe i should just leave it be.... let the NISMO be a NISMO

The 2015-17 Nismo has something like 18 holes and i do not believe they'd all be covered by frankly any spoiler, given that there are holes EVERYWHERE. When i get home i can find t he pic, but look for a thread by a user GeauxTigers. he swapped in an Amuse wing and had to fill a bunch of them, it is a PITA

If you aren't sure i wouldn't do it, since it will be expensive and annoying for a shop

There is no add-on that goes on the 15+ spoiler, HOWEVER Nismo Japan/Omori Factory makes a tiny *** little gurney flap (search under my name and nismo gurney flap) for it. It's over a thousand dollars (I think post-conversion from Yen is like $2000?). Insane. Cheaper for a shop to custom you something in any material

Note also the 2015 BUMPER is misaligned with the rear hatch without the nismo spoiler. If you look closely you will see the nismo spoiler is basically a large curved panel that goes all the way to the bottom edge of the hatch and covers it. Due to its thickness this 2015 nismo bumper extends out a bit, it isn't really noticable but its there.

As for other spoilers, other than having to drill new holes and filling old ones, there is nothing inherently different about the hatch that prevents you from putting anything you want, from your duckbill, stock, something GT, older Nismo, Amuse, etc. Anything will work, its just a matter of $$$ and time

Wow. Good eye. I don't have the vehicle yet.... so I am relying on pictures. I just zoomed in an noticed the spoiler does extend to bottom of hatch.... was curious as to where all those holes were but now i see the spoiler is just like a big panel that covers everything.

You can always trade hatches with someone.

Great link thank you

It's the one Option was talking about.

HIZZY 02-07-2017 06:28 PM

That gurney flap is simple, clean and just what i would want to do..... why hasn't one been made yet? [That's affordable]

OptionZero 02-07-2017 06:41 PM

the 370Z aftermarket is surprisingly mediocre compared to other cars (STI/EVO/BRZ-FRS/GTR)

maybe it has comparatively low production numbers? dunno

for the 15+ nismo, there's only one lip kit option (Carbon Signal) plus one front splitter (APR). No specific add-on wing options.

But like i said a gurney flap wouldn't be that hard of a custom shop. Non-moving part and doesn't seem like it needs to be very big

HIZZY 02-07-2017 06:50 PM

Yeah might have to reach out to a local customs shop

Hey speaking of the 2015+ Nismo wing, has anyone figured out what the trim piece is on top of the wing?
