Thanks for the research.

I asked them directly when I was buying and got a response to the extent that they'd been tweaking their offset recommendation and would tell me when I was purchasing.

Makes me wonder what they were smoking when they suggested my current offsets. Not like I made them up, you can see the screenshot of the email.

Caveat emptor, I suppose. Should have taken the time to do the same thing you did.

Despite the answers on the forum. I was dealing directly with them. I would have expected a better recommend than what they gave me. a range might have been good. they held on to the recommend they gave me like the holy grail. they asked for me to detail my setup before giving me their recommend. Then they gave me something that wouldn't work.

Oh well, nothing for it, I can only really blame myself for trusting their suggestion blindly. I am going to have them rebarrelled to specs that will work for my setup. Money was made for spending, amirite?

Last I would also say their numbers are a bit exaggerated on the widening. Rear widens 40mm (+/- 1-2mm), measuring from the lip of the factory fender to the *outer* lip of the moonbeam flare. note the lip built in to the flare, which is about 10mm wide. obviously it can be trimmed, but to clear the inside without trimming you are talking maybe an extra 30mm or so of extra clearance.

Offsets and size is in same range as on most of Zs. Emailed you to check with vendor what's the width of the wheel as have seen some sell wheel as 10" width bit after assembly it comes to 10.5 or 10.8. Second tire choice is very squarish.

Last you need to cut and trim fenders inside vent in front needs trimming and people going lower need to trim inside of flares as well. Let us know how it goes

The only alternative is to get the fenders, install them, then use some stock wheels (or other generic wheels with known sizing), and then space them out with spacers until you get an approximate fitment, THEN order custom wheels. All of that is gonna take upwards to 8-12 months given how long it takes to order the fenders and custom wheels!

Stock body for me, at best i'd go something custom that i KNEW the specs for. Ridiculous they want whatever the **** they charge and can't tell you what the width of their fenders are, even approximately
It's been mentioned several times the width of fenders

Offsets quoted are exactly as per Raptor Moonbeam gray Z with black Work CV series, work had limitation in offering offsets so we have small spacers on that Z. Wheels poke out when car is raised but that is close to zero offsets on drive height they are ok, as said you need to trim the fenders. As said I would have cross check width and offsets of wheels again

Well AntiV; looks like your wheels are wider than specs & you have square shaped tires....just about sums it up!
So my 10/12's are gonna be 11/13's on a stock body tucked w285/35,345/30's.
Most all wheel tire enthusiast probably have figured out by know, that a 10" wheel is actually closer to 11" lip to lip....and this isn't AV's first rodeo & i know he'll nail it down!!!
(hopefully my tires won't be square)

As per our little experience Work wheels are half inch more because of welds if welded ones but have seen some to be same width as well, hardly noticeable though but tire choice as per wall can make a difference.

We feel try trimming the fenders and if possible try using other tires as well. The vert we did has 13" at back guy tried PS2 was rubbing changed to some other brand and it was ok then.

how much different can his specs be? is he still on the forums, he should chime in if he can
These are same fenders as well but not sure on specs of wheels still front and back space from fender and bumper has little to do with offsets

Thanks for all the input.

@carbonsignal. i would suggest in the future that you provide a range of offsets, or a recommended tire size to your customers. while my tire setup is a bit more square than that on other Moonbeam Z's I am not attempting to run anything outrageous. hell with the right offsets my tires would fit under a stock body Z. at any rate, i chalk it up to a miscommunication, as in general you guys were helpful throughout the process, but you might save folks some headache by taking the tire size in to account when making recommendations.

@erryone else. i went ahead and cut the inside of the fender as recommended by carbonsignal. easy peasy the tire doesn't rub. my offsets are still too aggressive. even bumping camber to 2.5* on the front leaves me with about 10mm of poke. the rears at 2* still poke about 25mm. so i have contacted strasse about the rebarelling. looks like they can land me very close to the specs i calculate to be a good fit. so now it's just a matter of $$$ and time.

lesson learned. if you go off the beaten path, make sure to bring your ruler.

Any thought to dismounting the tires and running a different size

Even going to a 275/30 and 315/25 (what i'm running) gets you a shorter tire and a bit more shoulder clearance.

You can still use your tires in the future, or sell them if financially feasible. I previously suggested a cheap set of track wheels.

This is not ideal, but might be cheaper than re-barrelling, which i know is a PITA and $$$

It difficult to calculate overall look and feel with tires and wheels offsets are these in most of Zs. We don't go stretch it's very slight 255 to 265 on 9.5 to 10" and 295 on 11" as we don't get more thicker tires here usually. One thing is there we do avoid some companies like nitto as same spec tire nitto invo seems more meaty than Dunlop sportmaxx. At tire shops here some do allow us to test tires before we buy so will suggest try doing that if possible. Keep us posted though
