Plastic piece in front of gas pedal

The plastic piece if front of the gas pedal annoys me. Anyone know if I try to pull it off if it is connected to anything? Or will it just pop right off?

Picture? Do you mean rubber grip material so that your foot doesn't slip

or

the plastic under the pedal

That picture answers my question. I am talking about the piece where your heel would be if you had your foot flat on the gas. Looks like it is solid all around the pivot point of the gas. Thanks for the good picture.

I believe that plastic below your heel has two stud / screws underneath it to hold the whole assembly in place.

hehehe no I read the DIY on how to change it into the touring pedals and they said you have to loosen the 2 screws that are under that plastic piece :D

yah, check my DIY in the DIY section... i show how i pulled it off.

be careful though, if you pull too fast your rear tire will go flat. ;)

Or, if you want to put real aluminum pedals on for 1/3 the price (no offense to Kenchan or those who NEED to go OEM)....

The stock rubber pedals (or alum. trimmed) are like sex with Condoms.. They get the job done, but with a certain lack of sensitivity...

lol modshack you salesman. :D

Won't rubber mats cover that? Don't you have mats in your beaZt? They way it pours down here, you gotta have "deep" mats (i.e. with high ridges) to keep the water, mud & sand from messing the floorboard.

I'm tempted to do mod's way but I feel like the pedals are almost whitish?

They are a Matte aluminum, but you can get them in various finishes......

The difference in precision is something you can feel..
