2009 370Z Headlight Discoloring

I recently bought a used 2009 370Z with 42k miles. The only blemish on it seems to be the headlights. I've priced them and they are really expensive. Since everything still works inside the lamp is there a way I could buy just the outside coverings to the lamps, get some LED work done while they are cracked open, and reseal the whole thing?

This could potentially save me lots of money. The discoloring is from internal cracking in the middle of the plastic that can't be buffed out on the outside or inside.
