It is part of the KARR system. My 370Z has one and my wife's Juke has one. They are dealer installed. I had them done to add tilt sensors to the stock alarm.

Government tracking device for sure, I would rip that out asap, unless all you do is granny shift all day long...

Had the same thing in mine. I found out it was like a low jack for our cars. Look under where the steering column is and you'll see a bunch or wires spliced into your cars wiring. I disconnected everything but yeah its just like low jack.
