Question about shineauto amuse kit
Hi guys, so i just ordered the shine auto amuse front bumper, i was told by the company that their hybrid frp is a different kind of material, which is more flexible and less prone to cracking. Can someone that owns the shine auto kit tell me hows your experience with it? is it actually less prone to cracking?
Thank you guys |

Had their amuse kit for my s2k. Its just as advertised, my car was lowered quite a bit and even with scraping over the years it never cracked. Not to say it wouldnt crack if you werent careful tho, but compared to fiberglass its definitely sturdier.

I have no experience with shine, but have always heard great things about the fit and quality of their parts.
I have also heard the customer service can be very unresponsive... but again, no personal experience here, just hearsay.

Yes, to prevent scraping. I have it under the bottom of the front section that is a bit lower then the rest of the front. You can see it in the picture. The part that goes all around the front. I also put some on the back side of the skirts (underneath), as that is a scrape prone zone as well,l from what I have heard. I made them myself. Traced them in Cardboard and then took them to a metal shop and asked them to cut them from an aluminum sheet. The body shop wil attach them with 3M tape. They said it will hold well.
Or you can have Fly1 make you a set, but it will be more money. Fly1 Motorsports Custom Skid Plates / Splitters

Shine cracks just as easily as any other rep/authentic kit that's fiberglass unfortunately.
Shine used to be the gold standard for rep kits, but their customer service is so bad... I don't think you should go with them, and god knows when's the last time they remade their mold. Fly1 has had some issues, but hey, you can blast them on here and you'll get a reply within a day usually, lol. Fly1 or bust IMO *I own 0 Fly1 parts* (I might pull the trigger soon, but I still own 0 at this moment.

My body shop is very impressed with the quality and fit of the kit. So it tells you haw bad other kits are. That being said, they still had to repair some crack that were there from shipping and handling. Apparently that is normal for fiberglass and they were not surprised.

I don't know. It should definitely prevent it from getting gouged. After seeing the undersides of some of the skirts and lips being sold here, I would feel more confident having the metal scrape along the ground, then fiberglass.
For $50 bucks I think it is a cheap piece of mind.
