I've narrowed it down to the gauge cluster at this point. Basically bringing it in in hopes of them going "nope just a ****** up diode."

IIRC, the gauge cluster is considered one unit with no serviceable parts.
But just about anyone familiar with cars wiring should be able to run power through a fuse to the lights. Finding a source that is powered at the proper times will be the hard part and that should be pretty easy with the FSM.

I just ordered a cluster for $160 with 6-month warranty on it. The way I look at it, if it fixes it, great. If not, I have a cluster to practice changing the LEDs on
