Amuse aero kit...Who Wants One?

I haven't gotten word on the pricing yet, but knowing Amuse expect the carbon version to be dry carbon...

I'd venture to say that hood is a right popular item.

It's actually a white car, not silver.

Regarding the hood, for anybody seriously interested, I need to warn that this hood is full, autoclaved dry carbon (the same stuff that full on race cars are made of), so it's by no means cheap. I can provide pricing, but it's very expensive.

I'm going to try and talk with Amuse to see whether they can produce an FRP version of the hood as well. As they have never done an FRP hood in the past, it may be a total long shot, but I'll let everybody know how it goes.

Ah the low lighting got me at a quick glance. But I was talking about the body kit.

The design is not the same. The hood that VIS sells is basically a rip-off of the design from Amuse's Supperleggera 350z hood superimposed onto a 370z. The 350z design doesn't even match the original.

Additionally, why are you posting about your fake Amuse kit in our thread about the real thing?

The seibon one is no competition, look closely at the details of the cut outs of the vents.

This is THE best hood out there.

Has there been any update on a FRP or wet carbon version of the hood? Someone put a nice ding in my hood but I'm not willing to lay down 20%(!) of the price of my car for the dry carbon version.

Scribe,

Unfortunately, Amuse has not given us any update as to an FRP or "Regular Carbon" version of their hood.

That being said, have you had the chance to check on the ones that Varis manufactures? They offer theirs in VSDC, Carbon Kevlar, Carbon, and FRP.

Thanks for responding and letting us know that Amuse is not sharing information.

The problem I have, and I suspect most have, with the Varis hood is it simply doesn't look good/is ugly. The lines don't flow with the strakes on the hood, the vents turn out awkwardly and are proportionately too small. The vents just look tacked on without any consideration for how they look with the rest of the car. Here's what I mean:

Compare that with the Amuse hood, where the lines flow down the strakes and take up more of the hood and it's no contest.
