Also, don't wrap your Z at all. A wrap is not paint protection. Its temporary and should be removed in 18 to 24 months, otherwise it might not ever come off without destroying your paint or clear coat. Also, ensure whoever does the work, is using premium materials.

Why don't you use something thats not so permanent, and can be peeled off easily, like Auto Flex?
Part of the reason im doing it is because Id like to wrap it myself. The material used is decent, not 3M but not chinese either. Its called VViViD. Its not going to be a permanent thing, maybe after a couple months, ill change to matte black. All the material is only costing me $230 shipped after getting a 20% discount. Plastidip would be nice but too much for my budget. Im a graduating college student.

I'm not sure you know what you're getting yourself into. You get what you pay for with vinyl.

Wrapping a car is not something you just do when you're bored. Its a lot of work, and takes a lot of skill.

Your shortcut by buying junk vinyl could result in ruining your clear coat, or never peeling when the time comes.

Listen to the people on this forum who are trying to offer you advice to help you out.

I appreciate all the advice that im getting from here. Thats why I posted.
Ive done some research on this vinyl and VViViD is supposed to be some decent vinyl. Definitely not cheap and not too expensive either. Even if I mess up, I dont mind as it will be a great learning experience and will help me with future wraps.

Make sure you warn members so they can put their shades on before you post pictures.

Good luck with the install

OP if you are not happy with the wrap you can always do a matte/satin chrome

Matte wraps should ALWAYS be the way to go if you do a wrap. Just my two cents though. That matte looks so much more sleek and slick.

On the bright side - there is no shortage of GTR owners with wrapped cars for you to see how the colors look. ha ha.

Some progress pics. The chrome material is alot harder then I expected. Instead of doing the panels with one piece, I had to split them up so it could be applied. Now my dilemma is, I was doing the roof in 3 pieces and havnt done the middle yet, so it currently looks like a purposely done stripe. Im thinking about doing a white stripe across the length of the car from the front bumper all the way to the back bumper. Id also leave the mirrors white, maybe the entire spoiler white, and the sides of the front lip I bought white. Or should I just go full blue? Any opinions?

Thanks

Does not look so bad. No stripes please.

Chrome is hard to work with apparently. Just watched an episode of Junkyard Empire, and they wrapped an R-8 in exact same material and could not bend it around the hood, had to do portions in CF.

What if I split the car into two colors? Leave the right side blue and left white? Unique

Unique? No. It just looks like you couldn't afford to wrap the other half of the car
