but you can smoke dope there with no issues there. Only in Cali.

So what if you got a bunch of towels and soaked them in your house then came out and wiped the car down?

I tell anyone/everyone, don't move here, visit, but don't move here!

Zsteve 11-18-2009 08:33 PM

Hell if they would just tax the celebs right and not give them everything for free they would have money to do things better.

I really hate it here. On top of all the stupid laws I also get taxed like a mofo, then the cops roll around and treat me like a criminal.

Hey guys ive been reading about alot of people having problems with there paint (especally black and white) heres a guide to keep nissans paint issue in tact.

Wash: Meguiars Detailer Brand:Meguiar's Direct Hyper-Wash
^^ if the one above is to expensive there is this one that works well too:

Wash: Meguiars NXT GEN TECH WASH Meguiar's Direct NXT Generation® Car Wash

Polish: Meguiar's Direct Paint Conditioning Cream

Cheaper edition: Meguiar's Direct Deep Crystal® System Polish

For Wax: so far this is the best wax i've used that was suggested to me by the owner of a GTR- Meguiar's Direct NXT Generation® Tech Wax® 2.0 Paste

Quick wax spray (not needed but really extends paint varnish): Meguiar's Direct Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer™

follow this and i guarantee your paint will look amazing as well as highly protected, Let me know how it goes guys! i will be posting pictures of my BLACK 370 this weekend following this process showing the results ( i have done it before and it had an instant glass mirror look just never took pics :(.

For Professional Detailing:
i will post all the professional detailer products next week so stay posted.

The best protection for any Nissan/Infiniti is to leave it in the garage and covered 24/7..

The paint is so dam soft it isn't even normal. I have owned 08 Black G37 for two years now and I can't tell you how fustrating its been to maintain and the number of times I have polished the paint. Black paint in general is real hard to maintain for most daily driver cars, but I mean I can put swirls in the clear by removing spray wax from the dam car no matter how careful I have been.

No carwash's No HandWash's.. Mobil in my neighborhood has a machine wash that's basically soaps the car, and a highpowered/pressure water wash to remove it with nothing that ever actually touches the paint.

NXT 2.0 is a great product so is the ultimate quik wax only downside IMO is that it does not last very long. It does hide light swirls as well. They are available retail.

Poor Boys world Black Hole glaze and Poorboys World Natty's Blue is a real nice combo and last alittle longer then the NXT. NXT offers superior gloss though.

Porter cable, Meguiars m105 with Orange pad followed with m205 w/ white pad and if you wanna go alittle extra m205 with a black pad for extra gloss work real well with our paint to remove imperfections and swirls.

I detail as a hobby. I need to get a foam gun and decent pressure washer. I hand wax my Z every 2-3 months so far no swirls. She is my daily driver but I do keep her garaged all the time. Hell I even have a microfiber towel or 2 in the car for when the tires kick up dirt on the doors. I just give it a quick wipe down everyday after work to keep it fresher between washes. I will be eventually buy carbon fiber splash guards. Oh how I miss splash guards on my old sentra lol

Throw some high powered halogens on the paint and look at the swirls marks.. Plus you have a lighter colored car so its more difficult to see them as opposed to a darker colored car. Get some edgeless microfiber towels if you can also.

Vegasboricua 02-19-2010 12:54 PM

I have about 15-20 of those edgeless microfiber towels. I will look into investing into some halogen lights. Ill make sure to add it to my list. I been looking at chemicalguys.com and detailersdomain.com for my detailing supplies :)

Unfortunately its against the law here to wash your own car so I can't use this stuff :(

So all the celebs dont have their cars washed at their mansions by their car washer? They take them a regular car wash too? Man you can smoke dope in LA but you cant wash your own car. LOL gotta love that place.

tazz01 04-15-2010 03:56 PM

Just a question, what's everyone's thought on touch less car washes? I don't me in replacement but just once and a while?
