Heads up about evo r one piece front lip
 

So a while back, around early January, I ordered the evo r one piece carbon fiber front lip. I have been insanely busy lately and have not had time to install it until now. I expected slight fitment issues that evo r is known for, but my part didn't fit at all. The curvature of the lip is off and even when you flex it into position the lip is too short to reach the other side... What a disappointment. I will try again tomorrow with a friend and see if we can force it on. absolutely should not have these problems with a 500+ dollar lip. Just wanted to give people a heads up if anyone is looking into buying one.

Did that as well with no success. My last try will be to take off the front bumper

It shouldn't be this hard. Contact Evo-R and ask for a return authorization and a full credit. Otherwise, have them send out their 'skilled tech' and have him/her put the lip on the Z.

Is there a cut off point for sht++y service and performance for vendors that are sponsored/promoted on this forum?
The last 2 out of three experiences have resulted in lies about delivery times by weeks.. they have happily taken my money first then lie about when I will get what I already paid for..

That's what evo r does. He's a grade a shitbag. He's been banned here before for this kind of ****.

:iagree: It took him over a month to ship the lip. The part was "in stock" and he told me he would ship it out within a few days from my order. I had to email him constantly, to which he barely replied to any. His reasoning was that he didn't have a box to ship it in yet...

Ive always loved his stuff, design and price etc..

But ive never bought anything from him for this reason.

Chinesse made garbage, trying to get service is like pulling teeth..

what a lot of people where saying at one point, was to buy from someone like Z1 who stocks them.

Atleast you know youll get service if theres any issue!

Yeah I had some issues with another panel vendor before, it's such a low volume thing it is hard to get good service. But parts should fit, no excuse for that.

Damn, and I was debating getting the piece over the tachometer (the crown piece).. I thin I'm gonna pass now.. and his prices are REALLY high... even on eBay..

Same old evo-r problems.
Without actually seeing the problem with the lip,I can't offer any assistance.
I had a similar deal when I owned a 350z. Ordered a Mines lip from evo-r.
It took forever to get it. When it came in it looked great. However,I had the same
fitment problem. However,with some stretching it poped in.
VERY tight.
Evo-r does have some good stuff.The communications are terrible.
Yes,buy through the Z Store but make sure its in stock.Do not believe,
"expecting it next week..." etc. Won't happen.
The only vendor I know that offers on time/good price carbon fiber is ZCFcovers.
But,ZCF only does smaller covers like B-pillars and interior pieces.I have their rear
license plate backing(see my avatar). Made in the U.S. too.
