Louvers

Just wondering how you guys feel about louvers? I really like the look a lot, but everybody I ask (who doesn't own a 370) either loves them or absolutely hates them. Anybody on here have them on their 370? If so, post pics!

DEpointfive0 03-29-2016 08:52 AM

Let me google that for you

That's because these are not for sale yet.

damn, I really want to get a set. Are people just making them on their own? or modifying the louvers for the 350? Ive seen a couple 350s in NJ with them already.

They are in the pre order stage.

Click on the zociety link and put yourself on the order list.

Just FYI these are attached by 3M tape and can not be lifted like the old school ones.

I was just looking at the installation instructions. 3M tape & Loctite Glue..... not sure how I feel about that..but I do like the look a lot. I wish more people had them so there could be a little more feedback about the quality/durability.

The fitment is a bit off, if you look at the picture from the top on Kazmans Z, but maybe you can live with that.

Nixin 03-29-2016 02:23 PM

Do these louvers come with a 'burning chicken' decal for the hood?

EVOHUNTER 03-29-2016 02:37 PM

Personally I think they look good on the right 370z.

JARblue 03-29-2016 02:55 PM

:iagree:

That blue Z

RJayNismo 04-17-2016 03:59 AM

I heard from a few people who had them on their 370z said it was really noisy on the freeway.
Looks really nice, but the 3m tape, fitment being off a bit, and the noise complaint made me not want to pull the trigger on them.

If you go to their website, there is now an addition that they are available. I PM'd Kazman and he is a friend of the person doing these. They are apparently doing a revision that will should eliminate the overhang fitment issue at the top, I sent them an e-mail, hope to hear back on Monday...

I was going to come in here and stress how we're not in the 70s or 80s, blah blah blah. But after seeing those Zs, I must admit, louvers do indeed look great on the right Z .

JARblue 04-19-2016 09:26 AM

There's a 280Z parked a couple houses down from me. Black with black louvers. Looks excellent

I have to agree with you. Those louvers look good on the herrafrush, pop rivet tin can Zs.:iagree:

But they are not held by 3M, I bet.

cv129 04-19-2016 10:31 AM

Don't even care if fitment is off or noisy. 3M tape.....no.

Now, if you remove the rear glass and securely mount this on, kudos!

I can guarantee you they are not held on by 3M tape :tiphat:

James10694 04-19-2016 02:05 PM

I talked to a guy who has the louvers. He says its held on by some type of adhesive and is impossible to get off after its installed. The only way to get them off is by destroying the louver, according to him.

Ordered

I actually have been on the list for a while. Apparently it is 3m and loctite. I should be getting mine in about 10 days. I will post some info in here for those interested.:yum:

OldFart 05-15-2016 05:35 PM

I did a lookup and TRD makes one for the FRS. Theirs I believe is plastic and uses templates to position straps with nuts to the window using double sided tape. The louvres are then placed on the window and secured using a flush mount socket head screw offering the ability to remove them to clean window.

Here is the install and review of their option, just seems better thought out.
