I believe that area gets really hot from the lamp. In modded lamps I've seen it where a small piece of metal is added to keep that area from bubbling.

I believe that area gets really hot from the lamp. In modded lamps I've seen it where a small piece of metal is added to keep that area from bubbling. You should return it.
Edit: The metal pc is not on that lamp but on the smaller one. But I still say it has to be the heat from the lamp causing that paint reaction.
