Default Question for all you modders about your stock equip

What do you do with the stock exhausts and intakes, etc. after you put on better stuff? Is it worth anything to sell? Do you just store it somewhere in case you want to put it back on later? Do you leave it with the installers? Yes, I know, newb questions, but I just don't know. I assume people store the gear somewhere in case they want to sell or change later on . . .

I keep all my stock stuff just in case I want/need to revert back.

Sold a few stock items as well.

This is a good idea if you dont plan on keeping the car indefinetly.

You can easily throw a sale up on ebay, craigslist, or here...it will sell if ya do.

It's a pretty small market for this stuff (the OEM stuff). I keep mine in storage until it's needed. It's like my OEM 19" wheels.... I wouldn't sell them. Just keep them in storage until needed.

Yup, I stored all of my OEM stuff, I'm in the process of putting it all back on my car for when I do the trade in.

So far, I'm keeping everything. I'll probably toss it eventually. Except the cats, those are typically worth something to recyclers since they contain platinum.

Stock parts are labeled and put away in my storage for later use.

Often times places like CarMax will give you more for your stock car vs modded car...so best to have parts you can use to revert back to stock.

Tempting...
I keep mine, depending on what happens in the next few years I might sell some of the items (around the time the warranty runs out).

KEEP THEM!

You should store them fo sho!

-If you sell your car put the stock parts back on and sell the aftermarket parts. You will get more $ this way.

-If your aftermarket part gets damaged or you want to change it out you have a replacement on the spot and can take your time replacing it.

-If you have financial problems and need some money, BOOM, sell some parts.

You get my point. There are many reasons to keep your stock parts so choose wisely!

If you have warranty issues, it can also be less expensive to put your stock stuff back on than to have them void your warranty for an aftermarket part.
I.E. - your check engine light comes on for a fouled O2 sensor, but the dealer won't fix your car because you have aftermarket exhaust. Didn't cause the problem, but your warranty is void anyway.
