Installing Amuse Rep. by Fly1, need help.
1 Attachment(s)
Everything seems to be going relatively well with the install, fitment seem to be pretty good, but the shop emailed me asking what to do about the under tray. The OEM one does NOT reach the Amuse bumper. Fly1 seems to be fairly popular, was hoping someone on here could tell me what they or their shop used to cover the underside. My Z is an 09, non nismo.

Umm, I believe part of your bumper is missing... The Amuse front should have an under tray. Google image search Amuse front bumper

uh oh.... Contact Lohit and figure things out OP. It should have an undertray. Maybe there was a mistake in production. Who knows.
Let us know what happens and keep this thread updated so everyone knows as well. |

It should look like this. Authentic. http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/.../p1020101w.jpg http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s.../Capture-2.jpg Shine Auto (don't mind the larger hole, it was cut on purpose.) http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...psc732bedf.jpg http://www.the370z.com/attachments/p...-img951366.jpg Aerojacket. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/10/qusejuje.jpg Fly1 should be the same. |
did you get the bumper off another user or straight from fly1?
|
someone ****** u over :(
|
Fly1 could not have delivered to you in that manner. You either bought it third party and was hacked when you purchased or your installer hacked it.
|
We are all in agreement on this one. If you body shop did it, they owe you a new one.
|
Oh man...... Never seen that before
|
Get your money back bruh

I did contact him, I sent this exact picture, his reply: "Yes, you cannot use the factory under tray as-is. Some guys build a custom under tray using aluminum composite panel (sign board)...but most just leave it without the under tray. Hope that helps!" |
Also I did not purchase from another person or 3rd party, it was straight from Fly1.

Okay Fly1 pm'd me and stated
"Hey Joe... Saw your post on the forum. We don't reproduce the bumper w/ the under tray for a reason. We used to, but: 1. customers complained about cutting an access point for oil changes 2. the added weight would make the bumper sag over time. Thus, we cut that out as most customers preferred. Hope that helps... -Lohit" So I guess I'm on my own to make an under tray. The shop said they'd do their best to secure the OEM one so I have some protection. Thanks for the replies and concerns guys, first ever post, you guys seem to watch out for one another. |
