That was exactly the reference I used for my car AK, while not identical, in person they look very similar to that. Of course if I had the glamor shots of my wheels they would look pretty slick like that as well. Those red calipers really pop though, especially on that gray color...

man, that looks awesome! VERY VERY nice! Me having a blue car, I'm limited to what I can do with my rims. But if I had a while Z, this would be on my list.

Just curious, did you show them the 40th anniversary pic or ctzn's picture?

Looks fantastic. BTW, are you planning on paining the brake caliper to red as well like the 40th anniversary?

Hi-Step'n370Z 01-25-2010 04:40 AM

wheel color

I think that white is the best choice. Very classy. Rather than paint them darker, I'd just stay with the chrome.

alexpila 01-25-2010 04:43 AM

Here is another picture i had on my phone i jst found

Im not sure i think i might as it would be nice and noticeable bt nt at the moment. The guy who did my rims wanted to spray my rear spoiler the same colour.... So i'll see when i can spend some more time out the car before i get the calipers sprayed..

BLUESLATE 01-25-2010 04:44 AM

Wow that looks gorgeous!

Rasengan 01-25-2010 10:42 AM

that looks great! i wonder how they would look on a platinum granite roadster...

if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost to powder coat? i might be interested in doing something similar

alexpila 02-08-2010 01:09 PM

I actually got them sprayed as the powder-coaters here aren't very good at making custom colors so they are sprayed..
